About The Club:

Enniskillen Running Club was first established in 2009, the direct result of a simple advertisement placed in a local paper to gauge interest from local runners in setting up a running club. From the first few people that answered that advert, the Club has grown steadily and today boasts over 100 members. Despite still being somewhat in its infancy, Enniskillen Running Club has taken great strides to improve the running fitness of its members and has gained recognition with excellent racing results throughout the country & worldwide. Membership consists of runners of all abilities, from complete beginner’s right through to experienced winners on the road and track.

The core adult group training session sees members meet at the Lakeland Forum running track on Monday evenings at 6:15pm. During the autumn / winter months, an organised training session will also be introduced for Thursday evenings at the same time. There are several UK Athletics certified Leaders in Running Fitness which allows sessions to cater for all levels of running fitness. As part of the Club’s continued focus on providing structured training sessions, there will be additional Coaches and Leaders qualifying in the coming months.

Junior athletes, under the supervision of Coach Tommy Farrell, meet at the Lakeland Forum running track on Tuesday & Thursday evenings at 6:30pm. Due to restrictions on the number of junior athletes allocated to individual coaches / leaders, it’s important that parents / guardians make contact with our Club first to check on availability of junior training allocations.

Enniskillen Running Club is also the proud organiser of one of Fermanagh’s most popular and unique running events - the annual Enniskillen Spooktacular. This 5K race takes place each October on the Friday evening before Halloween and sees a top quality field of international, national and club athletes as well as beginner runners, take to the streets of Enniskillen for a run through the centre of town. It is one of the few races to take place after dark.

Anyone wishing to become involved with Enniskillen Running Club is encouraged to come along to one of the training sessions where a warm welcome will be extended. There are also many social gatherings throughout the year which include the ERC Christmas Party and the Club Awards Night. If you require any further information, please email
